KEITH BUTLER-
Look Through Any Window
Venue: SVA BAR, 4 John Street, GL5 2HA
Dates and Times: Sat 17th Sept 6.00pm
Sun 18th Sept 3.30pm

A series of flash fiction performances for the Stroud Theatre Festival.
Flash fiction is a complete story written to just a few hundred words. It is a form where every word counts, and the listener becomes a teammate in finding pockets of truth in the sharp observations.
Join Keith as he opens windows on peoples’ loves, lives, hopes, and dreams. Some humorous, some sad.
Keith performs a series of works prompted by his favourite pastime – people watching.
Each story progressively builds a picture of a life from a first day at school. We meet a West Country Marilyn Monroe and fall in love with a Welsh Audrey Hepburn. We meet Miss Rebecca of Paris and see if diamonds are a girl’s best friend. We grow old and reminisce. What people have said about the previews of this performance written exclusively for Stroud Festival.
“His writing has an irresistible immediacy.”
“As a consequence of the clear, idiosyncratic but disconcertingly familiar images I was hooked from the start.”
“Compelling” “Witty”
“Excellent combination of laugh out loud and poignant moments with a really moving climax”.
“Right up my street – impressionistic, atmospheric”
“His writing has a quiet beauty and emotional intensity”.
“Beautifully written, beautifully read”.
