For five decades Benny Hill was hugely popular, the first comedian to be made famous by television. By the 1980's he was the biggest star in the world. In the early nighties his show was axed. Benny Hill has somehow become a controversial figure.
This new play will explore this shy, complex, and particular man divides opinion in a way no comedian has.
This rehearsed, script in hand reading will feature, Dani Carberry and Mark Carey who last appeared in The Everyman Theatre's Educating Rita.
There will be a 15-minute post show discussion after each show.
